The short film, WILDERNESS (2020), premiered at the Los Angeles Latino International Film Festival and went on to the Highland Park Independent Film Festival, Social Justice Film Festival, and HBO's Tomorrow's Filmmakers Today Alumni Shorts Festival.

As a teaching artist, fundraiser and arts advocate, Joshua was selected as a 2020 Emerging Arts Leader Los Angeles and a recipient of the 2021 California Arts Council Individual Artist Fellowship.
