Joshua R. Lamont is an actor, producer, teaching artist, writer and most importantly, Roy and Jackie's son. As an actor, he has worked in collaboration with Blair Thomas and the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Dr. Walter Dallas, Company of Angels, Michael John Garces and Cornerstone Theater Company, The Actors' Gang, Leslie K. Gray, Jefferson Pinder, and Laurie Woolery.
He has trained under Gary Perez, Scot Reese, Leigh Smiley, Mitchell Hebert, Blair Thomas, Leslie Felbain, John Fiscella, Steve Braun of BGB Studios, and Cynthia Ettinger of The Actors' Gang.
He loves to work on projects that combine his passion for activism and the arts like when he co-produced the Los Angeles run of #Every28Hours in collaboration with Oregon Shakespeare Festival and the 1-Minute Play Festival. #Every28Hours dealt with the statistic that every 28 hours a black man, woman or child is killed by someone employed by the US government. Other producing credits include Fatigued, a night of one-acts that explored the traumatic effects of war has on our soldiers, their families, and the surrounding community.
